God knows our needs (Matt 6:8), but we must ask (Matt 7:7-8) and He is ready to answer (Matt 21:22 and John 14:13).  How great is God that He has given us prayer that through it we can grow closer to Him and have a greater understanding of His love for us and His will for our lives and UCUMC!  All are invited to pray on the grounds of UCUMC where the new building has been designed to be on Saturday: May 19 at 10:00am.  May this opportunity and privilege to come together as the body of Christ be a time that we can be united in God's Holy Spirit through the bonds of peace (Ephesians 4:3) so that we may know the hope to which we are called (Ephesians 4:4).

On Sunday: May 20, there will be an All-Church Celebration Event.  We invite you to be a part of our special worship services to celebrate what God has accomplished through UCUMC.  We will share food and fellowship after each service: continental breakfast after the 8:15 and 9:30 services and a BBQ lunch after the 11:00 service.  We hope everyone will attend to participate in this time of fellowship and celebration of thanksgiving!

UCUMC Grace EMMAUS will meet Sunday: June 3 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. 

Lenny Dagg will be leading Grace Emmaus services and Susie Vybiral of Riverside Community Church will be the Fourth Day guest speaker.  If you plan to attend, please bring your favorite potluck dish or finger foods to be served at a reception in the Fellowship Hall following Emmaus services.  Join us for prayer, fellowship and fun as we sing along to the heavenly music of Schertz UMC Praise Band.  Childcare will be provided.  If you have any questions, please contact Laine Fichter.  De Colores!

Start gathering up your things to donate to the annual UMM Garage Sale, which will be held on Friday: June 1 and Saturday: June 2.  You can deliver your donations to the Fellowship Hall the week before the garage sale starting Monday: May 28.  UMM members will be available each of those days between 9:00am and 5:00pm to help with unloading.  If necessary, we may be able to provide some in home pickups on a limited basis.  Although grateful for all donations, please do NOT donate old computers, encyclopedias, Christmas trees, hide-a-beds, or clothing except for baby and toddler clothes.  A receipt for tax purpopses will be provided for all donations and all funds raised go to support church missions and UMM outreach ministries.  If you have any questions or need to schedule a home pickup, please contact Bob Miller at 573-3065 or Jim McDonald at 274-6017.
