Border Ministry

YES, UCUMC Border Ministry continues to cross the border to serve alongside our Methodist brothers & sisters in Piedras Negras, MX! Your faithful prayers and support make it possible!  The month of August, we request your $$$ dollars $$$ to fund projects! 

Throughout the year, Border Ministry offers various added opportunities: 

• New socks for shoe distribution 

• $10 Christmas toys 

• Special needs sought by MX pastors 

• HEB & Wal Mart gift cards!!! 

• Cross sales 

These opportunities should not take away your focus from the other, regular Mission of the Month donations. We simply feel a Biblical obligation to let these needs be known as they occur, so you may participate when you feel called. 

We are grateful to UMM, UMW, Runners 4 Christ, Grace Notes, various Homerooms, and countless individuals for their generous support! 

Your Border Ministry: 14 members have gone to P.N., MX  6 from other churches have gone along 50+ on our email list 

Our activities include: 

• Construction Projects (all skill levels help) – weekend trips 

• Vacation Bible School (5 X yearly) – day trips 

• Orphanage monthly Birthday Parties – day trips/weekends 

• New Shoe Distribution (1,300 pr in 2009) – weekend trips 

• Lunch Program – part of weekend trips 

• Lively worship – part of weekend trips 

• Medical Clinic Hygiene Kits & Eye Glasses ( 2 X yearly) 

• Baseball Equipment – Spring 

• Cross Sales – here at UCUMC 

• Providing Food & needed Supplies – each & every trip! 

• Prayer Support!!! 

The Bible teaches us that some are called “to go” and all others are called to “send”. We appreciate those who “go” and those who “support” with $$$s and with items!
